Colour Me Happy!

You may have once been green with envy, suffered from the blues, been red with anger or even gone as far as being purple with rage. Whichever way it’s viewed; it is impossible to detach emotion from the colours around us. Although the examples above go some way to boil down emotions to a single colour, the reverse, that is, the ability for colours to impact us emotionally is far more subtle and far reaching. From warm colours to cool colours, happy colours to sad colours, and calming colours to energizing colours, there are different hues that when used singularly, or more often in combination with each other can have a genuine effect on how we feel. When choosing colours to decorate our homes, its rare that anyone would question themselves on whether this colour is warm, or sad, or energising. But in making our choices, we all listen to that little voice inside of us that says, “Yes, that’s the colour for me.”
