Where a run of panelling ends at any other place than a corner of a room, such as in the panelling for a shower enclosure, or when the boards are used to create that half-panelled look, an end cap can be fitted to give the edges a perfectly straight finish.  It works perfectly to disguise the tongue and grooved end of a complete board, or to cover a run of part boards that has been cut to manufacture an edge.  Many customers also use this trim as an alternative to coving to give a modern, less intrusive finish where walls meet ceilings.
